About
Robin has been creating functional and decorative art and pottery for more than half a century. He grew up in Condon, Oregon, and earned his Bachelor's degree from the University of Oregon, and his Master of Fine Arts from the University of Puget Sound, in Tacoma, Washington. Robin taught Ceramic Arts at Portland State University, in Portland, Oregon, before accepting a position at Treasure Valley Community College (TVCC) in Ontario, Oregon. During his tenure there, he taught Ceramics and Art History, and coached Cross-Country and Track. Since retirement, Robin continues to work as a part-time professor at TVCC. He currently resides in Ontario with his wife, Cindy, where they have a home studio and enjoy creating functional and decorative pieces using Raku and high-fire techniques. His work can also be found at the Red Barn in Fruitland, Idaho, Balance Studio and The House That Art Built, in Ontario, and Cannon Beach Gallery on the Oregon Coast. Robin is currently working as a resident artist for the John Day Fossil Beds; displays are in the Thomas Condon Paleontology Center.
